Sports improve physical and mental health at any age and studies show that starting at an early age is critical to their success. Kids get one hour of tennis instruction after school in a gym or on a tennis court. Programs like these that include tennis, have been shown to keep kids active and engaged in their communities.
Following on-court tennis instruction, kids move to their desks ready to get academic tutoring. They settle in to get tutored during the second hour of the program. Studies show that they get better grades, are better behaved, say they will attend collect, and are more communitiy-minded and well-rounded.
Kids do better in school by staying active and are less prone to poor grades and risky behaviors.

Tennis & Tutoring was launched in Salt Lake City in 2003. Tennis & Tutoring is a free after-school program for underserved children in 3th-5th grades.
Today, Tennis & Tutoring reaches:
As a result of Tennis & Tutoring in place for more than 20 years, studies have shown:
… a 10% increase in school attendance
… a 45% increase in reading skills

… where 81% plan to attend college
