Wood River Tennis in the Beginning
Since 2021, Wood River Tennis has been committed to expanding choices for both recreational and competitive tennis players throughout the Wood River Valley.
"League play is a fantastic idea, even if competitive match play is new to some in our area. The local tennis landscape is truly evolving, thanks in large part to a few dedicated WRT individuals who are organizing play, establishing leagues, and bringing tennis back stronger than ever in Sun Valley," shared Mats Wilander, the Swedish former professional tennis player, Sun Valley resident, and Gravity Fitness & Tennis partner with Oliver Whitcomb. Mats, a seven-time Grand Slam singles champion of the French and Australian Opens, certainly knows a thing or two about competitive tennis!
So, whether you're a longtime local, a part-time resident, a recent transplant, or just visiting, grab your racquet and let's get out and play!
