Get Trained to Coach Kids!

Become a Youth Tennis Coach in the Wood River Valley!

Are you a tennis player looking to give back to your community? We're partnering with Blaine County Recreation District (BCRD) and U.S. Tennis Association, Idaho (USTA Idaho) to find adult and high school tennis players (age 16+) to coach beginning tennis to 3rd-7th graders.

Why volunteer?

  • Give back to the Wood River Valley community
  • Get free, on-court coach training from USTA Idaho (3 hours focused on red ball tennis) You're encouraged, but not required, to attend both sessions for up to 6 hours of training
  • High school students can earn at least 15 service hours per session toward graduation
  • Be prepared to instruct future youth programs
  • Complete the USTA Safe Play online course beforehand, promoting a positive and safe environment for all players (Teenagers under 16 can be Safe Play certified with parent approval.)

Ready to Get Started? Just Four Steps!

1. Register for the next USTA Idaho training here

2. Attend the training Sept 6
